Installation Complete: MoveStrong x Quest Swimming Sponsored Site Outdoor Fitness

Our very first MoveStrong Grant Sponsoring Site is complete! Swimmers, Coaches and families at Quest Swimming in Virginia can now use their brand new training site featuring our traveling rings plus a complete functional fitness zone to strengthen the muscles, combat restlessness and keep the body moving.

After completing plans for the new site last August, installation has finally been completed. The competitive swimming program decided to open an outdoor functional strength and conditioning center to support the athletesโ€™ performance outside of the pool translating into record breaking achievements in the pool.

A variety of scaleable exercises and activities now suits members with a broad range of ages, abilities and goals. Highlight of the site are the MoveStrong traveling rings, a super fun and effective exercise for anyone and everyone challenging strength, endurance and coordination. One long side of the training area is covered by our Elite Drive Outdoor Sled and corresponding tracks, along with an agility ladder and dots. The remaining space is taken up by various fitness stations, including a tire flip station, battle ropes, fitness rings, plyo steps, multiple bars and an elevate trainer to help improve strength, power, athleticism, and coordination among the swimmers.

By taking fitness outdoors, athletes will not only enjoy the benefits of functional fitness on their everyday movements and sports performance, but also appreciate fresh air, sunshine and enhanced motivation.
