MoveStrong created an innovative solution for the City of Round Rock. Their Parks and Recreation Department began to run short of space for physical fitness. An absolute win, this solution fits modern-day green goals of repurposing unused shipping containers. The containers new prepped to create a covered outdoor fitness center the city name THE YARD.
SHIPPING CONTAINERS
We anchored our 40β Nova FTS to shipping containers to provide cover and versatility.
We created a state of the art fitness center by custom building a 40β Nova Wall FTS. We added a special coating to the Nova, normally and indoor FTS, for outdoor use to protect against weather. The FTS was anchored to the shipping containers to provide overhead cover.
Designed for public use, this Nova offers an extensive range of exercises that can be performed by users of all skill levels. An impressive 2,800sf of workout area, THE YARD features premium workout equipment including 10β and 30β MoveStrong Nova Walls, stall bars, rope ladder, 5 FightStrong heavy bags, 2 Squat Stands, and a variety of attachments for bridge (cobra ropes, hanging globes, rings, dip attachment), and battle ropes.

At our training event, we covered making the most of bodyweight exercise, the importance of functional fitness as applied to all ages and ability levels, exercise technique and creative ideas to build functional strength and whole body stability, and utilizing MoveStrong products, how to regress and progress exercises for all users as well as other topics!
