Quest Swimming Makes Waves as the First-Ever MoveStrong Grant Recipient!
Quest Swimming, Virginia’s elite swim training facility, has been awarded the first MoveStrong Sponsored Site. This exciting partnership opened a state-of-the-art outdoor functional fitness site for Quest Swimming, designed to support athletes of all ages and abilities with fun and challenging exercises.
A Shared Vision
The collaboration between Quest Swimming and MoveStrong was born from a shared vision: to utilize an open piece of land for creating an engaging and supportive fitness environment. Chad Onken, CEO & Co-Owner of Quest Swimming, expressed his excitement about the project.
“We have been big fans of MoveStrong for the past few years. When we were deciding what to do with the open piece of land, it was an easy decision to work with MoveStrong. We applied for the grant program and were ecstatic to partner with MoveStrong to help our athletes reach their potential and have fun while doing so.”
Innovative Equipment and Layout
The new outdoor fitness site at Quest Swimming features a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, including the Elite Traveling Rings System, our latest addition in functional fitness tools, some of the most popular FitGround stations, and Specialty Surfacing for safe and efficient workouts. This combination provides a comprehensive training experience aimed at enhancing strength, endurance, agility, and balance for Quest athletes and the surrounding community.
Among the included equipment are sleds, an agility ladder, a tire flip station, battle ropes, fitness rings, plyo steps, an elite bars, all focused at enhancing strength, endurance, agility and balance supporting the athletes’ overall performance. By taking fitness outdoors, athletes will not only enjoy the benefits of functional fitness on their everyday movements and sports performance, but also appreciate fresh air, sunshine and enhanced motivation.

“The new site will be used by all members of the Quest Swimming family. We are excited to develop strength, power, athleticism, and coordination outside of the pool to transfer it to our athletes looking to excel in the pool!”
Highlight of the Grand Opening was an instructional training for Quest’s youth athletes to learn hands-on how to utilize the new equipment.

MoveStrong Grant Sponsorship Program
Quest Swimming’s new training site is part of the MoveStrong Grant Sponsorship Program, which offers selected locations high-quality fitness equipment valued between $20,000 and $50,000. The program allows participants to choose from three layout options, tailored to fit different spaces and needs. Applications for the 2024 MoveStrong Grant are open, providing an excellent opportunity for fitness facilities to transform their spaces with state-of-the-art equipment.
